A sulfur compound used for glutathione support and thick mucus.

NAC (N-acetylcysteine) is a form of the amino acid cysteine and a direct building block for glutathione, one of the body's main antioxidants. It is a genuine hospital medicine — the standard antidote for paracetamol overdose and a long-used mucus-thinner for chronic lung conditions — now also sold as a supplement and studied for mental health.
